Javid Dar reviews functioning of education department in Baramulla

BARAMULLA, Apr 16:  Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election Department, Javid Ahmad Dar, today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the functioning and key challenges facing the Education Department in district Baramulla and Rafiabad.

The meeting was attended by the Director School Education Kashmir, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Baramulla, District Education Planning Officer (DEPO) Baramulla and Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs). They presented a detailed overview of the current status of educational institutions, infrastructure, staffing and ongoing developmental initiatives in the district.

During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the need for strengthening the education system through effective planning, better coordination among the stakeholder departments and timely resolution of issues. He directed the concerned officers to ensure quality education, optimal utilization of resources and enhanced monitoring mechanisms to achieve the desired outcomes.

Javid Dar stressed the importance of providing a conducive learning environment in schools, addressing infrastructure gaps, ensuring availability of teaching staff and promoting student enrolment and retention, particularly in rural and far-flung areas.

He also called for adopting innovative teaching methods and leveraging technology to improve the learning outcomes. He asked the officers to work with dedication and accountability to ensure that the government schools deliver quality education comparable to the best standards.

The officers apprised the Minister of various challenges facing the sector and sought necessary support for their resolution.

The Minister assured that all their genuine issues will be addressed on priority to further strengthen the education system in the district.
