UDHAMPUR, Aug 31: A grand send-off function was organised at Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA), Udhampur, to honour four officers and officials who retired from service after rendering more than three decades of dedicated service in the J&K Police.
Those who superannuated included Inspector Jia Lal, Sub-Inspector Sagar Singh, Follower Madan Lal and Follower Govind Ram.
Deputy Director SKPAU Benam Tosh, DDP Ranjeev Sharma, CPOs Rakesh Jamwal and Rajesh Khajuria, and Deputy Superintendents of Police Anuroop Sharma, Pawan Sharma and Ramesh Kumar Pandita received the retiring personnel and their family members.
The officers lauded their exemplary services, professionalism and commendable human qualities. On behalf of the DGP J&K and Director SKPAU, Dy. Director Benam Tosh conveyed wishes for their good health and prosperous post-retirement lives.
Retirement gifts were presented amid emotional applause, drum beating and slogans, marking a memorable farewell to the retiring personnel.
