DODA, Aug 31: Under the guidance of Mission Director, National Health Mission J&K, Director Health Services Jammu, and Chief Medical Officer Doda, Dr. Vinod Sharma, the District Quality Assurance Unit (DQAU) Doda organized an Exposure Tour cum Field Visit Programme for the NQAS health facilities of District Doda, on 31-08-2026.
The field visit was conducted for the NQAS health facilities of Medical Block Ghat, including AAM SC Trown, Shiva, Zadan, Dhar, Panjsoo, Bhagwah, Bhaboore & Hanch, and Medical Block Thathri, including AAM SC Bajja, Kencha, Malanoo, Puneja & Drone Jamani. The participating teams visited the high-performing NQAS facilities of AAM SC Khellani, AAM SC Paryote and AAM SC Shaya under Medical Block Assar.
The main objective of the exposure visit was to provide an opportunity to the participating healthcare teams to observe and learn best practices, quality improvement measures, documentation systems, infection prevention and control practices, patient friendly initiatives and other NQAS-related processes being successfully implemented at the visited facilities.
During the visit, the teams interacted with the staff of the host facilities and observed various aspects of facility management, implementation of NQAS standards, maintenance of records, availability of essential services, cleanliness and infection control, patient safety and continuous quality improvement practices.
The exposure programme also aimed to promote peer-to-peer learning and replication of successful practices in other health facilities preparing for NQAS assessment, thereby strengthening the overall quality of healthcare delivery across District Doda.
DQAU Doda emphasized that such exposure visits provide a valuable platform for healthcare teams to learn from successful facilities, enhance their preparedness for coming National NQAS assessment and develop a culture of continuous quality improvement across the health system.
The programme was conducted with the support and coordination of the Block Medical Officer Assar and health facility staff.
