JAMMU, Sep 30: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) on Wednesday felicitated Tableen Boparai on his appointment as Provincial President of the Apni Party Students Union at a programme held in Jammu in the presence of Party General Secretary Vijay Bakaya and Provincial President Manjit Singh. The occasion also witnessed the joining of several students from MAM College in the Apni Party, giving further impetus to the Party’s student and youth outreach. The newly joined students were welcomed into the Party fold by the senior leadership, which expressed confidence that their participation would strengthen the Party’s engagement with the younger generation.
Vijay Bakaya, General Secretary of JKAP, congratulated Tableen Boparai on his appointment and said students constitute an important section of society whose concerns deserve meaningful representation in public discourse. He said the Students Union should provide a platform for young people to raise issues related to education, employment, skill development and career opportunities. Welcoming the students who joined from MAM College, Bakaya said their decision to associate with the Apni Party reflects the growing interest among educated youth in participating in public life and contributing their ideas towards addressing issues confronting Jammu and Kashmir.
Provincial President Manjit Singh congratulated Tableen Boparai and welcomed the students from MAM College into the Party. He said JKAP is committed to creating greater opportunities for young people to participate in the democratic process and contribute to the development of Jammu and Kashmir. He called upon the new Students Union leadership to remain connected with students at the grassroots level, understand their genuine concerns and work constructively on issues concerning education, employment, infrastructure and opportunities for youth. Manjit Singh said the participation of students would further strengthen the Party’s youth outreach and provide young people with a platform to articulate their aspirations.
Speaking on the occasion, Tableen Boparai thanked the Party leadership for entrusting him with the responsibility and assured that he would work with dedication to strengthen the Students Union and remain accessible to students. He said the Union would focus on giving students a platform to articulate their concerns and encourage their participation in constructive social and democratic activities.
The programme was attended by Arun Chibber, Vice President; Ajaz Kazmi, Provincial Secretary and Incharge Trade Wing; Abhay Bakaya, District President Jammu Urban; Pavneet Kour, Provincial President Women Wing; Vibhav Mattoo, Social Media Incharge; Neelam Gupta, Senior Vice President, District Jammu; Shikha Bhardwaj, Secretary Jammu District; and Divansh Sharma, District Media Incharge, besides other party leaders, workers and supporters.
The senior leadership welcomed the newly joined students and urged them to remain actively engaged with the Party’s activities while contributing their ideas and concerns to the wider public discourse. The joining was described as an encouraging development for the Apni Party’s efforts to strengthen its connect with students and young people in Jammu.
