BARI BRAHMANA, Aug 3: Inspired by the visionary ideals of Founder and Chairman of Dogra Educational Trust, Late Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak, Dogra Law College (Autonomous) continues to uphold his legacy of academic excellence, discipline, and value-based education and today, ceremoniously organised an Induction Programme for the newly admitted LL. B 1st Semester (Academic Session 2026–27).
The programme, held in the college auditorium, marked the beginning of the students’ legal education in an atmosphere of enthusiasm, inspiration, and academic excellence.
The programme was graced by distinguished members of the Dogra Educational Trust and the Dogra Group of Colleges.
The gathering included Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust, Mr. R. S. Katal, Member, Governing Body, Dogra Law College, Advocate Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Trustee, Dogra Educational Trust, Dr. Bela Thakur, Director, Dogra Group of Colleges, Dr. Dharamveer Sharma, Dean, Dogra Group of Colleges, Dr. J. P. Srivastava, Principal, Dogra Law College and Dr. Gitika Sehgal, Coordinator, Dogra Educational Trust, whose presence added immense significance to the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust, warmly welcomed the newly admitted students and congratulated them on embarking upon a noble and challenging profession.
Paying heartfelt tribute to the visionary Founder and Chairman of Dogra Educational Trust, Late Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak Ji, he highlighted his remarkable contributions to education and institution-building.
Speaking on the occasion, R. S. Katal, Member, Governing Body, Dogra Educational Trust, motivated the students to pursue academic excellence with dedication, discipline, and sincerity.
He emphasized that true success is achieved through hard work, integrity, self-discipline, and continuous learning, and make the best use of the opportunities available to them during their legal education.
Dr. J. P. Srivastava, Principal, Dogra Law College, acquainted the students with the institution’s academic philosophy and emphasized the importance of discipline, ethical conduct, critical thinking, and professional responsibility.
The academic orientation session was conducted by Shuchi Sharma, Academic Coordinator, who provided the newly admitted students with a comprehensive overview of the Three-Year LL.B. Programme, including its curriculum structure, academic regulations, examination and evaluation system, institutional policies, and student support services.
She also apprised the students of the institution’s Anti-Ragging Policy and the functioning of various statutory committees, reaffirming the college’s commitment to ensuring a safe, inclusive, and conducive learning environment.
The students were further acquainted with the institution’s dynamic academic and co-curricular ecosystem, encompassing the Moot Court Committee, Legal Aid Clinic, NCC, NSS, literary and cultural societies, sports activities, and various student clubs that foster holistic personality development.
In addition, they were briefed on the campus infrastructure, learning resources, and the notable academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular achievements of the students during the 2025–26 academic session.
