JAMMU, Aug 3: As part of the ongoing Independence Day Celebrations-2026, the Department of Physical Education and Sports, PSPS Government College for Women (GCW), Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, organised a special National Anthem Activity to instil patriotism, unity and respect for the nation among students. The celebrations are being observed from August 3 to August 15, 2026.
The programme commenced with the collective singing of the National Anthem, in which students participated with great enthusiasm, discipline and reverence. The activity highlighted the importance of maintaining proper decorum while singing the National Anthem and reinforced its significance as a symbol of India’s unity, integrity and sovereignty.
A large number of students and faculty members participated in the event, creating an atmosphere of patriotism, solidarity and collective responsibility. The programme reflected the institution’s commitment to fostering national values and encouraging students to develop a deep sense of pride and respect for the country’s heritage and democratic ideals.
