JAMMU, Sep 8: President of Mission Statehood Jammu & Kashmir Sunil Dimple led a protest rally at Janipur High Court Chowk against the proposed construction of flyovers on the Amphalla, New Plot, Janipur High Court, Roopnagar and Bantalab corridors. The protest was attended by hundreds of traders, shopkeepers and local residents from Bakshi Nagar, Amphalla, New Plot, Janipur, Roopnagar and adjoining areas.
The protesters raised slogans against the government and alleged that the proposed flyover project could adversely affect traders, residents and commercial establishments in the old Jammu city areas. They appealed to the authorities and the judiciary to intervene and protect the interests of people likely to be affected by the construction.
