DIET Kishtwar Assessment Cell finalizes guidelines for foundational stage daily routine, timetable and holistic progress card

KISHTWAR, Aug 1: Under the able guidance and chairmanship of Riaz Ahmad Butt, Incharge Principal, DIET Kishtwar, the DIET Kishtwar Assessment Cell successfully conducted a three-day working session from 30th July to 1st August, 2026 for the preparation of academic guidelines to facilitate the implementation of the FLN and (NCF-FS 2022) and the SCERT Jammu & Kashmir Academic Planner.

The Assessment Cell prepared comprehensive guidelines/sample for the implementation of the Daily Routine and Timetable for the Foundational Stage and also developed a Sample Holistic Progress Card (HPC) based on competency-based assessment principles envisaged under NEP 2020. The guidelines are intended to support schools in creating joyful, activity-based, child-centred learning environments while ensuring holistic assessment of every learner.

The Incharge Principal, Riaz Ahmad Butt, appreciated the sincere efforts and professional commitment of all members of the Assessment Cell for their dedicated work during the three-day exercise. He observed that the collaborative efforts of the team would significantly strengthen the implementation of competency-based teaching-learning practices and holistic assessment across the Foundational Stage in District Kishtwar.

The Detailed academic exercise for Foundational stage was coordinated by Irfan Ahmad, Academic Officer, DIET Kishtwar, who, along with Nadeem-ul-Hassan, Senior Academic Officer; Riaz Ahmad Giri, Senior Academic Officer; Apramjeet Sharma, Senior Lecturer, HSS Sarthal; Anees Mohd, Lecturer, HSS Boys Kishtwar; Nishwant Singh, Lecturer, HSS Ligri; Zia-ul-Haq, Master, MS Malipeth; Sh. Sudeep Sharma, Teacher, HSS Badhat; Sandeep Sharma, Teacher, MS Anjol; Shazia Parveen, Teacher, HS Dedpeth; Nazia Nazir, Teacher, MS Kudna; and Mohd Arif, Teacher, MS Piyakul, made valuable contributions in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing the Daily Routine and Timetable for foundational stage and the sample Holistic Progress Card.

The meeting concluded with a resolve to provide continuous academic support and capacity-building to schools for the effective implementation of the Foundational Stage Daily Routine, Timetable and Holistic Progress Card, thereby advancing the objectives of NEP 2020, NCF-FS 2022 and SCERT Jammu & Kashmir in all government and Private schools of District Kishtwar.
