JAMMU, May 21: Dr Vivek Sharma, President of Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch (BTSM) for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh UT, and National Co-Convenor of the Intellectual Forum of BTSM, along with Dr Rajesh Sharma, Vice President of J&K UT, met the Vice Chancellor of Cluster University of Jammu, Prof. (Dr.) K. S. Chandrasekar.
During the meeting, the BTSM leaders discussed the activities and functioning of BTSM. They stated that the organisation’s mission is to unite people in support of Tibetan freedom and the liberation of Kailash Mansarovar from Chinese control. They also discussed the possibility of organising a conference on Buddhist Studies at the university.
The Vice Chancellor expressed a positive outlook towards introducing Buddhism as a subject at the undergraduate level at Cluster University of Jammu.
