JAMMU, May 21: Indian Branch National General Secretary of the British Ravidasia Heritage Foundation and former Vice Chairman Balbir Ram Rattan called on Devyani Rana MLA Nagrota and presented her a portrait of Guru Ravidass. He shared the humanitarian philosophy, teachings and social vision of Guru Ravidass  and their significance in promoting harmony and equality in society.

Balbir Ram Rattan briefed the MLA about the objectives and global activities of the British Ravidasia Heritage Foundation, a UK-based organization dedicated to spreading the teachings and universal message of Guru Ravidass across different countries. He informed that the Foundation has established its presence in several nations and is actively working for community awareness and promotion of moral and spiritual values through different programmes.

Balbir said that the great saint devoted his entire life to the service of humanity and worked tirelessly for the upliftment of weaker and marginalized sections of society. He said that Guru Ravidass  preached equality, brotherhood, compassion and social justice and strongly opposed discrimination and social divisions. He added that the teachings of Guru Ravidass inspire people to follow the path of truth, peace and humanity and remain equally relevant in the modern era.

Devyani Rana accepted the portrait with deep respect and appreciated the initiatives being undertaken by the Foundation for preserving and promoting the spiritual heritage of Guru Ravidass. She said that India has been blessed with great saints and spiritual leaders who guided society towards peace, equality and universal brotherhood. She remarked that Guru Ravidass was among the most revered saints whose teachings continue to inspire people across generations to work for a just, harmonious and compassionate society.

She also appreciated the contribution of social organizations in spreading moral values and strengthening social unity among the youth.
