Health Minister visits ailing father of MP Er. Rashid at SMHS Hospital

SRINAGAR, Apr 19 (Agencies): Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo today visited SMHS to inquire about the health condition of the ailing father of Member of Parliament, Sheikh Abdul Rashid (Engineer Rashid).

MLA Hazratbal, Salman Sagar; Principal GMC Srinagar, Dr. Iffat Hassan Shah; Medical Superintendent SMHS, Dr. Andleeb Bashir; HoDs of various specialities, Consultants, senior doctors and other staff members were also present on the occasion.

During her visit, Sakeena Itoo met the attending doctors and medical staff to receive a detailed briefing on the condition of Khazir Mohammad Sheikh, treatment plan, and progress on his recovery.

The Minister directed the Principal GMC and Medical Superintendent to provide best possible medical care and ensure that all necessary facilities and specialized care as required is extended to the patient without any delay.

“Ensure constant medical supervision of the patient with comprehensive care by a team of experienced specialists”, Sakeena Itoo directed the medical team.

Interacting with the family members, Sakeena Itoo conveyed her heartfelt concern and assured them of full support from the Health Department. She also prayed for the speedy recovery of patient and appreciated the dedication of the healthcare professionals attending to him.
