SRINAGAR, Nov 4 (Agencies): Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Wednesday questioned whether Ghulam Nabi Azad, Aga Ruhullah and MP Engineer Rashid were coming together to form a new political party, alleging that the BJP was using the three leaders as part of its political strategy.
“The BJP has three faces in this game – Ghulam Nabi Azad Sahab, Aga Sahab and Engineer Rashid Sahab. Are these three faces going to give birth to a new political party?” he asked.
Accusing the BJP of attempting to weaken the National Conference, he said the party had consistently tried to break the NC.
“We have always maintained that the BJP is working to weaken the National Conference and trying to break the party,” he said.
Referring to BJP leader Ram Madhav’s remarks that BJP workers had attended Ruhullah Mehdi’s programme, the Deputy Chief Minister said the BJP should be questioned about its role.
“Why are you coming to us with these questions? Ask BJP’s Sunil Sharma,” he said.
He also accused the BJP of misleading Aga Sahab, adding, “If Aga Sahab was your man, why did you stage this drama?”
