KISHTWAR, May 15: A Zonal Level Science Exhibition under the prestigious Rajya Satriya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshni (RSBVP) and a one-day seminar on the theme “Reducing Plastic Pollution” were successfully organised at TRC Chatroo by the District Institute of Education and Training Kishtwar in collaboration with Model Higher Secondary School Chatroo.
The programme was inaugurated by Shuja Banday, who attended the event as the Chief Guest. The welcome address was delivered by Vinod Kumar Babouria.
Among the dignitaries present on the occasion were Parveen Gupta, Rakesh Chander Dogra, Vipin Kumar, Riyaz Ahmad Giri and Farooq Ahmad Giri.
The seminar segment focused on the important environmental theme “Reducing Plastic Pollution,” in which 14 schools from Zone Inderwal participated enthusiastically. After evaluation, High School Sigdi Bhata secured the first position, while Higher Secondary School Mughal Maidan and Model Higher Secondary School Chatroo secured the second and third positions respectively.
The Science Exhibition was organised under a broader STEM theme comprising seven sub-themes. A total of 24 innovative models prepared by students from various Higher Secondary and High Schools of Zone Inderwal were displayed during the programme. Seven models were selected for the District Level Exhibition, including two models from High School Sigdi Bhata and one model each from High School Tagood, High School Chingam, Model Higher Secondary School Chatroo, High School Singpora and High School Gurinalla.
The programme was organised with the objective of promoting scientific temperament, innovation and research aptitude among students for building a Viksit and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The entire event was organised and coordinated by Vinod Kumar Babouria in close coordination with Syed Imtiaz Ahmed and Nasir Ahmed.
The programme concluded with an award ceremony followed by a formal vote of thanks delivered by the Principal of Model Higher Secondary School Chatroo, who expressed gratitude to the Principal DIET Kishtwar and Chief Education Officer Kishtwar for their valuable support in making the event successful.
