KISHTWAR, Aug 21: Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Kishtwar, Bishan Dass conducted a comprehensive field visit to schools of Cluster Keshwan today, covering both remote schools accessible only by foot and schools connected by road.
As part of the visit, the ZEO personally undertook a difficult 2–3 hour journey on foot to reach MS Jungna and MS Balna, located in remote and challenging areas. His willingness to walk for several hours to reach these institutions reflects his dedication towards ensuring regular monitoring and support for students and teachers working in far-flung areas.
The ZEO also visited MS Nagnighar and PS Gamas, which are road-connected schools of Cluster Keshwan. At these institutions, he reviewed the overall functioning of the schools, including academic activities, office work and staff attendance.
He interacted with the teaching staff and students and took feedback regarding the teaching-learning process and other school-related matters. He appreciated the staff for carrying out their academic and administrative responsibilities and encouraged them to continue working with dedication.
Focus on Quality Education and Teachers’ Responsibility
During the interaction with teachers, ZEO Bishan Dass emphasized the importance of quality education, better learning outcomes and regular student participation**. He urged the teachers to give individual attention to students and ensure that classroom teaching remains effective and meaningful.
He also highlighted that teaching is not merely a professional responsibility but a moral commitment towards the future of every child. He encouraged teachers to perform their duties with sincerity, discipline and dedication, particularly in difficult and remote areas.
The field visit provided the ZEO an opportunity to directly assess the functioning of schools at the ground level and understand the challenges faced by students and teachers.
The visit to MS Jungna and MS Balna on foot followed by the road visits to MS Nagnighar and PS Gamas reflects a proactive approach towards educational monitoring and sends a clear message that every school and every child deserves equal attention, irrespective of distance or geographical challenges.
