JAMMU, Aug 21: The Jammu Chapter of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) successfully organized an insightful Career Awareness Program on the theme “Career as Company Secretary” at International Daily Rising School (IDRS), Jammu on 21st August 2026.
The program was designed to educate and inspire senior secondary students regarding the career prospects, professional scope and statutory responsibilities associated with the Company Secretary profession in today’s evolving dynamic business ecosystem.
The session was led by key ICSI representatives, including CS Nitin Gupta, Practicing Company Secretary accompanied by Mr. Sudip Kumar Mishra, Chapter-In-charge, Jammu Chapter, who facilitated the interactive session and addressed student queries.
During the session, speakers provided a detailed overview of the CS course structure, including entry pathways via the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET), progression through the Executive and Professional stages and practical training requirements.
Furthermore, the discussion emphasized the critical position of a Company Secretary as a corporate governance leader, legal compliance strategist and advisor to boardrooms.
The session concluded with an engaging Q&A segment where students actively clarified their doubts regarding academic preparation and future career trajectories. The management and faculty of IDRS expressed their gratitude to the Jammu Chapter of ICSI for conducting an impactful awareness session for the youth.
