Twin Triumph at APS Nagrota: Sarkar Sisters create academic history with consecutive board exam milestones

JAMMU, May 14: Thwishaa Sarkar and Triona Sarkar are twin daughters of Colonel Rahul Sarkar and Saheli Sarkar who are posted at Nagrota Military Station.

Born a minute apart they have a lot of things in common like any twin. However, the precedence continued in their academics wherein they created history for Army Public School, Nagrota with their outstanding performance in class 10th CBSE board exams in the year 2024.

Thwishaa Sarkar secured 490 (98%) and Triona Sarkar secured 486 (97.2%), which is the highest in the history of Army Public school, Nagrota since inception.

The precedence continued with the girls again repeating the same feat in class XII exams.

This time Triona Sarkar scored 99.4% from humanities stream thus being adjudged Northern Command topper. Thwishaa was not far behind with a score of 98.2%.

The performance is even more pronounced due to the fact that their parents have been moving on postings every two years and as a result their schools changed too. Apart from academics, the girls are excellent in sports and co-curricular activities.

They are very fond of horse riding, swimming, squash(White Knight Corps Winner and Runner up) debate and dramatics. Thwishaa aspires to pursue biotech and forensic sciences, and Triona wants to pursue her career as an organisational psychologist.

Every success has small endeavours behind it, and the girls have taken their first step towards their bright future.
