DODA, Jul 6: The Teachers Joint Action Committee (TJAC), Zone Gundna, District Doda, under the leadership of its Zonal President, Naseer Ahmed Sheikh, organised a grand one-day function at Hotel Khan Plaza, Doda, to bid a warm farewell to Shabir Ishaq Zargar, Principal, HSS Shiva, who served as DDO/ZEO Gundna for the last 7–8 months with exceptional sincerity, dedication, honesty, and a teacher- and student-friendly approach.
The function also welcomed Abdul Rehman on his promotion and posting as the new Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Gundna. The gathering expressed confidence that he would continue the positive work and educational environment established by his predecessor.
A large number of teachers from different schools of Zone Gundna attended the event to convey their respect and best wishes to both the outgoing and incoming officers. The staff of the ZEO Office, Gundna, also participated enthusiastically in the programme.
The distinguished guests were received with warm hospitality by the organising committee of TJAC Zone Gundna through the presentation of bouquets of flowers, traditional shawls, and garlands as a mark of respect and appreciation.
On the occasion, Muzaffer Hussain Natnoo was formally welcomed as the new Senior Assistant, while Shekha Singh, Senior Assistant, was accorded a warm send-off. Speakers appreciated her dedicated, honest, and teacher-friendly services during her tenure. Rafiq Ahmed Dev, Teacher, was also felicitated on his transfer from Zone Gundna to Zone Ghat.
Addressing the gathering, Naseer Ahmed Sheikh, Zonal President, TJAC Zone Gundna, welcomed the newly posted ZEO, Abdul Rehman, and extended heartfelt farewell wishes to the outgoing DDO/ZEO, Shabir Ishaq Zargar. He appreciated Zargar’s dedicated services, teacher-friendly approach, and exemplary leadership, and wished both officers success and good health in their future assignments.
The speakers highlighted the exemplary leadership and administrative abilities of Shabir Ishaq Zargar, acknowledging his valuable contribution to the education sector in the zone. They also expressed hope that the newly posted ZEO would maintain the same spirit of transparency, dedication, cooperation, and commitment towards the teaching fraternity.
Sajad Malik, District President, JKTJAC, attended the programme as the Special Guest.
The proceedings of the event were conducted by Farooq Ahmed Dev, General Secretary, TJAC Zone Gundna. Prominent speakers included Naseer Ahmed Sheikh, Mohd. Afzal Sheikh, Dheeraj Khajuria, and Raman Sharma, who appreciated the services of the outgoing officers and extended their best wishes to all those being honoured.
The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks presented by Javed Iqbal Dar, Chief Organiser, TJAC Zone Gundna, who thanked all participants for making the event a memorable and successful one.
