JAMMU, May 19: Shri Ram Sena UT president Rajiv Mahajan has strongly criticized the Revenue Department for failing to take action against encroachers on State land at Ban, Bantalab, Nagrota, despite the matter having been declared by Mr. Kabra Sahib more than a year ago.
SRS said that even after the identification of the State land, no concrete action has been taken by the concerned authorities. Taking advantage of the inaction of the Revenue Department, some land grabbers have allegedly developed plots on the encroached land and are openly selling them, while revenue officials are maintaining a suspicious silence.
SRS demanded immediate action against the land grabbers as well as the concerned revenue officials responsible for negligence and inaction. The organization urged the administration to conduct a thorough inquiry, remove all illegal encroachments, and protect government land from further misuse.
