DODA, Jun 9: The annual Shri Chound Mata Yatra 2026 concluded successfully at Punyalla Top with thousands of devotees participating in the sacred pilgrimage marked by deep religious fervour and devotion.

The yatra commenced from Korora and culminated at the revered Shri Chound Mata Temple at Punyalla Top. This year, the pilgrimage witnessed an overwhelming response, with nearly 2,000 devotees from various parts of Doda district and adjoining areas taking part to seek the blessings of Maa Chound Mata.

Throughout the journey, devotees filled the atmosphere with devotional chants, bhajans and prayers, reflecting their unwavering faith and spiritual enthusiasm. The pilgrimage route remained vibrant as men, women and children walked together in devotion towards the holy shrine.

Members of the Yatra Committee expressed satisfaction over the peaceful and successful conduct of the annual event. They extended heartfelt gratitude to all devotees, volunteers, local residents, administrative officials, police personnel and social organizations whose collective efforts ensured smooth arrangements and the safety of pilgrims throughout the yatra.

The committee also appreciated the cooperation of various departments and community members who contributed to maintaining order, providing assistance and facilitating the successful completion of the pilgrimage.

Speaking on the occasion, members of the organizing committee said that the growing participation in the yatra reflects the strong spiritual connection of people with Maa Chound Mata. They noted that the annual pilgrimage has emerged as an important religious event in the region, attracting devotees from far-flung areas every year.

The successful conclusion of Shri Chound Mata Yatra 2026 once again highlighted the deep-rooted faith and devotion of the people towards the deity and reinforced the cultural and religious significance of the shrine in the Chenab Valley region.

The event concluded with prayers for peace, prosperity and the well-being of all, as devotees returned home carrying blessings and spiritual memories from the sacred pilgrimage.
