Shiv Sena Hindustan Chief lauds LG Sinha for anti-drug drive, Amarnathji Yatra arrangements

JAMMU, Jul 19: Jammu and Kashmir President of Shiv Sena Hindustan, Pandit Rajesh Kesri, has expressed gratitude to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for the effective management of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra and for the administration’s sustained campaign against drug abuse and narcotics trafficking.

Pandit Rajesh Kesri also thanked the Langar Committee for its dedicated service to pilgrims during the annual pilgrimage. He specially appreciated Mahamandaleshwar 1008 Mahant Shri Rameshwar Das Ji of the Ram Mandir for providing free langar, accommodation and all essential facilities to sadhus and saints. During his visit, Pandit Rajesh Kesri sought the blessings of the Mahant and also praised the arrangements made by the administration at Geeta Bhawan and along the banks of the Tawi River for the convenience of devotees and pilgrims.

Commending the Jammu and Kashmir Police for its crackdown on drug traffickers, including the demolition of properties allegedly linked to the narcotics trade, Pandit Rajesh Kesri said the ongoing campaign has sent a strong message against those involved in the illegal drug business. Referring to action taken in areas such as Samaypur and Nikki Tawi, he said such decisive measures are essential to protect society, particularly the younger generation, from the menace of drugs.

Pandit Rajesh Kesri remarked that money earned through drug trafficking destroys families and society, and urged those associated with the illegal trade to abandon such activities and adopt an honest livelihood. He appealed to people to work hard, lead a dignified life and safeguard their children from the harmful effects of narcotics.

Pandit Rajesh Kesri further alleged that certain “black sheep” within the system attempt to obstruct the functioning of honest officers and hamper efforts against the drug mafia. He expressed confidence that the administration and law enforcement agencies would continue their campaign without fear or favour.

Concluding his statement, Pandit Rajesh Kesri said that unlawful activities ultimately lead to harmful consequences and appealed to every citizen to contribute towards building a drug-free and healthy society.
