JAMMU, Jun 9: Under the guidance of MLA RS Pura–Jammu South, Dr. Narinder Singh Raina, District General Secretary Rakesh Sangral today inaugurated the construction work of lanes and drains in Ward No. 68, Lane No. 16/56. The project, being undertaken at an estimated cost of Rs 50 lakh, aims to improve sanitation, strengthen drainage infrastructure, and enhance connectivity for local residents.

Speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Sangral said that the project reflects the commitment of Dr. Narinder Singh Raina towards strengthening civic infrastructure and addressing the day-to-day concerns of the people. He noted that the development work would help resolve long-pending issues such as damaged lanes, inadequate drainage facilities, and waterlogging during the rainy season.

Conveying Dr. Raina’s message, Sangral emphasized that the development of basic infrastructure remains a top priority and that every ward of the RS Pura–Jammu South constituency will continue to receive focused attention under the ongoing development initiatives.

He further stated that several lane and drain projects have already been completed, while many others are currently under execution across the constituency to improve civic amenities and enhance the quality of life of residents. Strengthening grassroots infrastructure, he added, is essential for achieving sustainable urban development and better living standards.Sangral also urged the concerned officials and executing agencies to maintain high construction standards and ensure the timely completion of the project so that the public can benefit from the development works without delay.

Local residents welcomed the initiative and expressed gratitude to Dr. Narinder Singh Raina and Rakesh Sangral for prioritizing infrastructure development in the area. They said the project would provide significant relief from drainage-related problems and improve overall civic conditions in the locality.

Among those present on the occasion were Dr. Himja Mehngi, Reena Slathia, Usha Rajput ,Raj Kumar, Dr. Subhash Abrol, Vir  Bakshi, and  party leaders, officials from the concerned departments, local representatives, and a large number of residents.
