PANCHARI, Jun 9: A cleanliness drive was successfully organized at Upper Meer on 9th June 2026 by Akhil Bharatiya Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad (ABPSSP), local public and the students of Himalayan Public High School, Meer, with the objective of promoting environmental awareness and encouraging community participation in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

The drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and members of the local community. Prominent participants included Prabhat Singh, Khajur Singh (Ex-Naib Sarpanch & Member of Purav Sanik Seva Parishad), Malook Singh, Jagan Nath, Ranjeet Singh, Karan Singh, Ravinder Singh, Romesh, Parkash, and Sanjeev Singh, Bhim Singh, Ashok Singh of HPHS Meer along with several residents of Panchayat Upper Meer.

During the drive, participants cleaned public places, collected waste, and spread awareness about the importance of sanitation, hygiene, and environmental conservation. They appealed to the local public to adopt responsible waste disposal practices and work collectively towards keeping the village clean, green, and pollution-free.

The organizers appreciated the active involvement of the students and the local community, emphasizing that such initiatives not only promote cleanliness but also instill a sense of civic responsibility and environmental stewardship among the younger generation.

The cleanliness drive concluded with a collective pledge by all participants to continue supporting cleanliness initiatives, protect the environment, and encourage sustainable practices for a healthier and greener future.
