JAMMU, May 29: Rajesh Langer, Director of Yougal Sons, along with social activists Shallu Gupta, Raju Jandyal, Rajkumar Khajuria and Temple Inspector Sai Krishna, today paid obeisance at the Tirupati Balaji Temple in Majeen, Jammu, and participated in the special Abhishek ceremony of Lord Venkateswara Swamy.
The devotees offered prayers for the peace, prosperity and welfare of the nation. The special Abhishek ceremony of Lord Venkateswara is performed every Friday at the temple, attracting a large number of devotees.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Langer expressed happiness and pride over the establishment of the Tirupati Balaji Temple in Jammu. He said the temple provides an opportunity for the people of Jammu and surrounding areas to experience the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of South India without travelling to Andhra Pradesh.
“It is a matter of great joy and pride that such a magnificent temple has been established in Jammu. The temple allows devotees to witness the traditions and culture associated with Lord Venkateswara, and the experience is truly divine,” he said.
Langer further stated that the dedication of the Lord Venkateswara Temple would significantly boost spiritual tourism in Jammu and attract devotees from different parts of the country. He appealed to people to visit the temple and seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara Swamy.
Sharing his experience, he said that the temple, nestled amid the scenic Shivalik forests in Majeen, offers a serene and spiritually uplifting atmosphere. He urged devotees who are unable to undertake a pilgrimage to Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh to visit the Jammu temple and offer prayers.
Temple Inspector Sai Krishna highlighted the growing importance of the shrine and suggested that pilgrims visiting Jammu during the forthcoming Amarnath Yatra should also be encouraged to visit the Tirupati Balaji Temple. He appealed to the administration and Smart City authorities to include the temple in Jammu’s sightseeing circuit and facilitate transportation through Smart City e-bus services.
Among those present on the occasion were Ved Pandit Amit Shukla, Archaka Pandit Ravi Teja Bhattacharya, Pandit Surya Prakash Dwivedi and Pandit Gautam Pandey, who conducted the religious ceremonies and rituals.
