JAMMU / PUNJAB, May 15: In a significant development for social justice and public welfare initiatives in Punjab, Prof. R.K. Uppal has been appointed as the Punjab State Chairman of the Global Human Rights Anti-Corruption and Consumer Protection Council of India Trust on an honorary basis.

The appointment was officially announced by Dr. K. Chakravarthi, who serves as the National President and Founder of the organisation. According to the announcement, Prof. Uppal was selected in recognition of his dedication to public service, social welfare activities and his continuous efforts toward promoting justice, human rights awareness, anti-corruption initiatives and consumer protection in society.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. K. Chakravarthi stated that Prof. Uppal’s commitment to social causes and contribution to community development made him a deserving choice for the prestigious responsibility in Punjab. He expressed confidence that under Prof. Uppal’s leadership, the organisation would further strengthen its mission of serving the people and creating awareness about citizens’ rights and responsibilities across the state.

The Global Human Rights Anti-Corruption and Consumer Protection Council of India Trust has been actively working in different parts of the country to support protection of human rights, fight against corruption and safeguard consumer interests. The organisation also focuses on legal awareness programmes, social campaigns, educational support initiatives and promoting justice for all sections of society.

After receiving the appointment, Prof. R.K. Uppal expressed gratitude to Dr. K. Chakravarthi and the national leadership of the organisation for placing their trust in him.
