JAMMU, May 15: Kuldeep Kumar Rao, a social and political activist, has strongly condemned the alleged NEET-UG 2026 Paper Leak Controversy and demanded high-level accountability along with immediate restructuring of the National Testing Agency.
In a press statement issued here, Rao alleged that repeated controversies surrounding the NEET-UG Examination have severely affected the future of students across the country. Referring to reports regarding the cancellation of the examination conducted on May 3, 2026, he claimed that over 22 lakh students who appeared for the examination have been left anxious and uncertain about their future.
Rao alleged that question paper leak incidents and examination irregularities have surfaced repeatedly over the years, particularly in 2021, 2024 and now in 2026. Criticising the functioning of the examination system, he termed the alleged paper leak incidents as a “Gujarat model of paper leakage” and demanded that the Government take responsibility and initiate action against officials concerned, including the leadership of the National Testing Agency.
Launching a broader attack on the Central Government led by Narendra Modi, Rao accused it of implementing policies which, according to him, have adversely affected various sections of society. He criticised demonetisation, alleging that it weakened the Indian economy, and also referred to the now-repealed farm laws, claiming they caused hardship to farmers during nationwide protests.
Rao also criticised the Agniveer Scheme, alleging that it has created uncertainty among the youth regarding long-term employment security and pensions after completion of service. He claimed that the scheme has failed to address concerns of unemployed youth and questioned its long-term impact on their future.
Further addressing the public, Kuldeep Kumar Rao appealed particularly to youth, farmers, labourers, employees and small traders to remain vigilant regarding policies affecting their interests. He alleged that economic inequality is widening and claimed that governance should focus on strengthening democratic institutions, free speech and employment opportunities.
Rao also urged people to support governance models focused on education, healthcare and public welfare, while emphasising the importance of transparency, accountability and honest leadership in a strong democracy.
