JAMMU, Nov 3 (Agencies): A driver was killed while another person sustained injuries after a Tata Sumo plunged nearly 500 metres down a hillside on the Chaka Link Road in Ramsoo tehsil of Ramban district on Tuesday morning.
The accident occurred around 8 am when a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK12-2463 reportedly skidded off the road while negotiating a sharp turn and plunged into a deep gorge.
The driver, identified as Manzoor Ahmed 35, died on the spot, while another occupant, Amir Ahmed Wani 14 son of Ghulam Nabi Wani, a resident of Chakka, Ramsoo, sustained injuries.
The injured person was rescued and shifted to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Ramsoo for medical treatment.
