JAMMU, Jul 1: Senior Congress leader and Incharge of the RS Pura–Jammu South constituency, Amrit Bali, has expressed strong resentment over what he described as a lack of coordination and mutual respect between Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary and elected MLAs, stating that it is adversely affecting governance and delaying public welfare initiatives.
Amrit Bali said that smooth functioning of the government requires close coordination between the executive and elected representatives, but the prevailing situation is creating confusion at the administrative level and hampering the timely resolution of public issues. He observed that development works and grievance redressal mechanisms are suffering due to communication gaps and institutional friction.
He stressed that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are expecting responsive and efficient governance, particularly at a time when there are pressing demands related to infrastructure development, public utilities, and welfare schemes. According to him, any disconnect within the system directly impacts the delivery of services at the grassroots level.
Appealing for urgent corrective measures, Amrit Bali urged Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to personally intervene and ensure better coordination among all stakeholders in the government. He said that timely intervention would help streamline governance and restore public confidence in the administrative system.
He added that the primary focus of all elected representatives and government functionaries should remain on addressing the concerns of the people and ensuring that developmental works are executed without delay.Amrit Bali expressed hope that the Chief Minister would take necessary steps to resolve the issue in the larger interest of the public so that people of the region can finally get relief from administrative inefficiencies and experience effective governance on the ground.
