JAMMU, Aug 6: Chairman Samvedna Society & Social Activist Keshav Chopra, today organized the 108th Free Eye Screening and General Health Check-Up Camp at Gurudwara Sahab, Govind Nagar, Talab Tillo. Free medicines were also distributed among the beneficiaries during the camp.
The camp was organized in collaboration with K.D Multispeciality Hospital, Jammu, under the guidance of Dr. J.P. Singh. The Camp was inaugurated by District Social Welfare Officer Jammu, Dr. Preeti Sharma JKAS, as the Chief Guest, S.I. Dhanraj Singh, Incharge Police Post Pouni Chak, and Ex-Sarpanch Pritpal Singh were also present on the occasion.
A large number of local residents availed themselves of the free medical facilities, including eye examinations, general health check-ups and free medicines. Patients were also provided free advice and consultation regarding eye-related ailments and general health issues by the team of doctors.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Preeti Sharma appreciated the efforts of Samvedna Society and said that NGOs like Samvedna are doing remarkable work for the welfare of society. She added that the Department of Social Welfare is always committed to working alongside such organizations in the service of the people.
Keshav Chopra said that the organization’s mission is to provide the best possible medical facilities to common people at their doorsteps. He further stated that Samvedna Society will continue to organize such camps in the future so that people can receive quality treatment andk healthcare services without any inconvenience.
S.I. Dhanraj Singh and Ex-Sarpanch Pritpal Singh also appreciated the initiative and lauded Samvedna Society for its continuous efforts in serving the community.
