June 2026 Term-End Examinations of IGNOU to start from June 1

JAMMU, May 29: The IGNOU Term End Examinations June 2026 are going to commence from June 1, 2026 across the Country in one go. Admit cards have been uploaded on the SAMARTH portal on its official website at www.ignou.ac.in. The Hall Tickets can directly be downloaded following the online link https://ignou.samarth.edu.in/index.php/site/login as well. The learners are advised to download their respective Hall Tickets and reach the allotted Examination Centre with a print of the same along with the Identity Card issued by IGNOU.

Under the Jammu Region, 35 Examination Centres have been established including four Examination Centres in District Jail Ambphalla, District Jail Udhampur, District Jail Kathua and Central Jail Kot Bhalwal Jammu exclusively for Jail inmates and also in one Examination Centre in Northern Command Udhampur exclusively for Army personnel. In addition to the Examination Centre in Govt. General Zorawar Singh College, Reasi, the Examination Centre in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University has also been established for the first time to cater to the requirements of District Reasi. One Examination Centre has also been established in SKUAST Jammu to cater to the huge rush of examinees in Jammu city and around.

The examinations will start on June 1, 2026 and conclude on July 21, 2026. The examinations will be conducted in two sessions every working day. The morning session would be from 10AM to 1PM and evening session would be from 2PM to 5PM. There would be no examination on Sundays and Govt. gazetted holidays.

Under the Jammu division, around 32,000 students spread in around 1,90,000 sittings are appearing in the 35 Exam Centres established across the length and breadth of the region. Regional Centre Jammu has established Examination Centres in all the ten district headquarters of Jammu province so that no student is required to travel long distances to take their respective exams.

Regional Director, Dr. Asha Upadhyay, informed that the local administration has assured the Regional Centre to deploy security personnel at the Examination Centres for maintaining law and order. No Mobile Phones and/or any other electronic gadgets are allowed inside the Examination Halls under any circumstances, and the examinee carrying any electronic device with him/her will be responsible for its safe custody.

Regional Centre management expressed confidence to conduct the fair and smooth Term End Examinations across the region with the cooperation of administration, Higher Education Department, management and staff of RC, Centre Superintendents and other stakeholders and field functionaries in the region.
