JAMMU, Nov 2: In a significant relief to displaced families from Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), the deadline for submitting applications to avail the one-time relief assistance of Rs 5.5 lakh has been extended up to March 31, 2027, following sustained efforts by the Jammu and Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee (JKSAC).
Announcing the extension, JKSAC President Gurdev Singh said the extension would provide another opportunity to eligible displaced families who, for various reasons, had not been able to complete the necessary formalities or submit their applications within the earlier stipulated period.He urged all eligible PoJK displaced persons and families who have not yet applied for the relief package to complete their documentation and submit their cases at the earliest to ensure that they do not miss the extended deadline.
Gurdev Singh said the extension was an important opportunity for those families who were still awaiting financial assistance and appealed to them not to postpone the completion of their applications until the last moment.He further assured the displaced families that the Jammu and Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee would continue to extend necessary guidance and assistance regarding the relief process and documentation requirements.
