JAMMU, Jun 9: The J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) on Tuesday organized a book release function of “Suham Prakash”, written by renowned author Prem Nath Pandita (Prem), at K.L. Saigal Hall, Jammu.

Dr. Ratan Talashi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Sonali Arun Gupta, Additional Secretary, JKAACL, presided over the function. Dr. Javaid Rahi, Chief Editor, Gojri, JKAACL; M.L. Pandita; and the author Prem Nath Pandita (Prem) were present in the presidium.

In her welcome address, Sonali Arun Gupta emphasized the significance of such literary works, stating that they hold strong contemporary relevance and contribute meaningfully to the understanding of religion and culture. The speakers, through their presentations, elaborated on the book “Soham Prakash”, underlining the author’s devotion to spiritual and cultural themes.

Dr. Javaid Rahi, in his address, stated that Kashmiri Pandits represent an intellectually significant segment of the country and have distinguished themselves through their scholarly contributions. Dr. Roshan Lal Saraf rendered a beautiful poem on his friend Prem Nath Prem.

M.L. Pandita presented a detailed paper on the book, highlighting its thematic depth and cultural relevance, while Vijay Walli also read a comprehensive paper on the book.

In his address, Dr. Ratan Talashi appreciated the literary contribution reflected in the work. The author, Prem Nath Pandita (Prem), also shared details of his poetic journey and creative experiences.

The cultural segment of the programme featured a soulful musical presentation by noted singer Rishabh Dorji, accompanied by Joginder Pal on tabla and Rakesh Jasotra on flute. The rendition of poems by Prem Nath Pandita (Prem) deeply impressed and captivated the audience.

The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Shri Pyare Hataash.
