JAMMU, Aug 24: The Jammu and Kashmir Swimming Association will conduct selection trials for the J&K team for the 22nd National Masters Championship-2026 on August 29 at 10 am at the J&K Sports Council’s MA Stadium Swimming Pool, Jammu.
The National Masters Championship, being organised by the Swimming Federation of India, is scheduled to be held from September 11 to 13 at Champion Aquatics Academy, HL City, Sector-37, Bahadurgarh, Haryana.
According to the association, swimmers aged 25 years and above are eligible to participate, with age to be determined as on December 31, 2026. The individual events will be conducted in age groups of 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80 years and above.
Masters swimmers will be eligible to enter only in their respective age categories. However, swimmers who participated in the National Aquatic Championship during 2024, 2025 or 2026 will not be eligible for the selection trials.
The association has invited eligible masters swimmers to submit their entries for the selection trials by August 27. Entries are to be sent to J&K Swimming Association President Ramandeep Singh Soodan through the email address provided by the association, along with a registration fee of Rs 1,000.
The selection trials are being organised to select the J&K contingent for participation in the national championship. The association has urged eligible swimmers to submit their entries within the stipulated deadline and participate in the trials.
