KATHUA, Sep 2: The Inter-School District-Level Yoga and Gymnastics Selection Trials for All Age Group (AAG) Girls were held at Sports Stadium, Kathua, on a trial-cum-selection basis under the Annual Sports Calendar of the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Jammu & Kashmir.
The trials were conducted under the directions of Director General, Youth Services & Sports, J&K, Anuradha Gupta, and under the guidance and supervision of District Youth Services & Sports Officer (DYSSO), Kathua, Sunil Kumar.
The event was organized under the supervision of Activity In-Charges Sh. Dharmander Singh Shally and Parveen Singh, with support from Convenor Shutra Mehra, along with Pankaj Spolia, Pushap Thakur, Hazara Singh and dedicated field staff.
A good number of young Yoga and Gymnastics players from different schools across District Kathua participated in the selection process. The participants showcased their skills, discipline, enthusiasm and sportsmanship throughout the trials.
The selection trials were aimed at identifying talented players for representation of District Kathua at higher-level competitions. The department appreciated the efforts of the participating athletes, officials, Physical Education staff and field staff for ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the event.
