JAMMU, Sep 30: The Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, continued the Inter-Collegiate Volleyball (Women) Tournament 2026–27 on its second day at the University Volleyball Court. The tournament witnessed competitive encounters, with teams displaying confidence, determination and strong sporting spirit.
The tournament is being conducted under the supervision of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, with the objective of promoting sports participation among students of affiliated colleges.
In the day’s matches, PG Department JU defeated Dogra Law College 2–0 with set scores of 25–14 and 25–13. GCW Parade defeated GDC Udhampur 2–0, recording identical set scores of 25–14 and 25–13. GCW Udhampur defeated GDC Pouni 2–0, with scores of 25–16 and 25–10.
In another encounter, GDC Billawar defeated GDC Ramnagar 2–0, with set scores of 25–21 and 25–06. GCW Parade registered another 2–0 victory over GDC Poonch, winning the sets 25–03 and 25–14.
The closest contest of the day saw GDC Mendhar defeat PG Department JU 2–1. After losing the opening set 20–25, GDC Mendhar fought back to win the next two sets 25–15 and 15–05.
The matches were officiated by Mulkh Raj Khajuria, Shubham Sharma, Pragya Sharma, Parvinder Singh, Anil and Vikas Karlopia.
