JAMMU, Jun 30: The Indian Institute of Management Jammu on Tuesday announced that it will host the prestigious 13th AIM-AMA Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium and International Marketing Conference (DC-IMC 2026) from July 1 to 4 at its campus, bringing together globally renowned marketing scholars, distinguished journal editors, faculty mentors, doctoral researchers, industry leaders and practitioners from India and abroad.
Addressing a press conference, B. S. Sahay said the four-day event is being organised in collaboration with the Academy of Indian Marketing and the AMA Sheth Foundation, reflecting IIM Jammu’s growing stature as a globally connected, research-driven institution. He said the conference marks a significant milestone in strengthening academic excellence, innovation and international knowledge exchange.
The conference will comprise two major academic events—the 13th AIM-AMA Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium from July 1 to 3 and the International Marketing Conference from July 3 to 4. Around 50 outstanding Ph.D. scholars from premier institutions across India will participate in the doctoral consortium, where they will receive mentoring from internationally acclaimed faculty members, journal editors and marketing experts. The programme has been designed to enhance research quality through masterclasses, manuscript development workshops, career guidance sessions, editorial interactions and networking opportunities.
A major highlight of the event will be the participation of Jagdish N. Sheth, Padma Bhushan awardee, globally acclaimed marketing thought leader and founder of the AIM-AMA Sheth Foundation. Prof. Sheth, who serves as the Charles H. Kellstadt Professor of Business at Emory University, USA, will lead the consortium as its chief mentor. The conference will also feature eminent scholars from leading universities, including York University, NYU Stern School of Business, Georgia State University, IIM Bangalore, IIM Ahmedabad, Indian School of Business and several other globally reputed institutions.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Sahay said the conference would significantly strengthen India’s marketing research ecosystem while positioning Jammu and Kashmir as an emerging destination for international academic conferences and research excellence. He noted that the collaboration with globally recognised institutions demonstrates IIM Jammu’s commitment to promoting world-class research and innovation.
Jabir Ali said the conference would provide an important platform for advancing high-quality marketing research, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration and generating evidence-based solutions to contemporary business challenges, particularly in the era of Artificial Intelligence. He added that the event would promote stronger partnerships between academia and industry while encouraging collaborative research and publication.
The International Marketing Conference will include keynote addresses, technical sessions, research paper presentations, panel discussions, practitioners’ roundtables and interactions with editors of leading international journals. Selected research papers will be considered for publication in reputed ABDC, ABS and Scopus-indexed journals, while outstanding papers will receive cash awards amounting to ₹50,000.
With participation from leading universities, business schools and research institutions across the globe, the conference is expected to reinforce IIM Jammu’s position as a centre of excellence in management education while enhancing Jammu and Kashmir’s profile as a hub for global academic collaboration and research.
