JAMMU, Aug 18: Heritage School celebrated the remarkable achievement of its young sporting talent and roller-skating champion, Puneesh Puri, who was honoured with the Special Cash Award for Outstanding Sportspersons by the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council at a ceremony held at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC), Srinagar, on August 10.
Puneesh received a cash award of Rs 1 lakh in recognition of his outstanding performances in Roller Skating during the 2023–24 and 2024–25 sporting sessions. The award was presented in the presence of Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, and Minister for Youth Services & Sports, Satish Sharma.
A proud member of the Heritage School community, Puneesh has consistently excelled in competitive skating through his dedication, discipline and perseverance. His achievements include two Gold Medals at the 63rd National Roller-Skating Championship 2025, besides several other championship victories and podium finishes.
