Healthy India Stronger India empowers youth with free skill training, distributes certificates to 45 students

JAMMU, Jun 1: Healthy India Stronger India (HISI), a leading social welfare organization committed to empowering underprivileged sections of society through education and skill development, organized a certificate distribution ceremony for students who successfully completed various vocational courses at its Free Training Centre in Jammu.

The programme was held under the leadership of Chairman Hira Lal Abrol, who, along with S Dalbir Singh, retired Principal and noted educationist, distributed Course Completion Certificates to 45 students who successfully completed their respective training programmes during the current session.

Speaking on the occasion, S Dalbir Singh lauded the dedicated efforts of the NGO and appreciated its selfless contribution towards the upliftment of economically weaker sections of society.

He expressed satisfaction over the various welfare activities being undertaken by Healthy India Stronger India and urged members of the business community and philanthropists to extend support to such initiatives that help needy individuals become self-reliant and earn respectable livelihoods.

In his welcome address, Chairman Hira Lal Abrol presented a detailed report on the activities being conducted by the NGO at its training centre located in Raghunathpura, Jammu.

He stated that the organization provides free skill development training to children and youth belonging to economically weaker families, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, or community.

Highlighting the achievements of the institution, Abrol said that the Free Training Centre offers three-month courses in Basic Computers, Cutting and Tailoring, Beautician Training, Vocal Music, Dance, and also provides access to a Free Library for students.

He informed that nearly 7,000 students have successfully completed various courses at the centre over the years, with many securing employment in different organizations while others have established their own businesses and ventures.

Sharing an inspiring example, Abrol mentioned that one of the students regularly travelled from Udhampur to Jammu to attend the free training classes, demonstrating the dedication and trust students place in the institution.

He emphasized that HISI remains committed to serving all sections of society without any discrimination and continues to provide opportunities for skill enhancement and personal growth to deserving youth.

Along with vocational training, the NGO also focuses on imparting moral values, life skills, and awareness about healthy living he said and motivated students to stay away from tobacco, drugs, and other harmful addictions.

Abrol further highlighted the organization’s commitment towards women empowerment. He said that girls and women enrolled at the centre are provided self-defence training to help them become confident, self-reliant, and capable of facing challenges in life.

“Healthy India Stronger India has also been actively involved in educational and social welfare initiatives, including book donation drives and the distribution of educational materials among children from marginalized communities,” Hira Lal Abrol said.

The programme concluded with Chairman Hira Lal Abrol delivering a motivational message to the students, encouraging them to utilize their newly acquired skills for building successful careers and contributing positively to society. The event ended on a patriotic note with the singing of the National Anthem.

The ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and social activists, making it a memorable celebration of learning, empowerment, and community service.
