THANNAMANDI, Aug 12: Students of Government Degree College Thannamandi brought laurels to the institution by putting up an impressive performance at the Inter-Collegiate Competition on Seminar, Singing, Painting & Quiz, in which Nine colleges of District Rajouri participated, organised by the Cultural and Literary Committee, Government PG College Rajouri, on August 11, 2026.
The students participated enthusiastically in various events and showcased their talent, confidence and creativity. The college achieved notable positions in different competitions. Uqba Raina secured First Position in Painting, while Mehak Fatima, bagged First Position in the Seminar Competition. Arslaan Rasool secured Third Position in the National Anthem Singing Competition. Three students who represented the college in quiz competition are Mehak Fatima, Umar Farooq and Tahir Iqbal who performed commendably and contributed to the college’s impressive participation.
The participation and overall performance of the students were carried out under the coordination of Prof. Fatima Parveen, who coordinated and guided the students throughout the event.
Principal of College, Prof. (Dr.) Shamim Ahmad Azad, congratulated the students for their outstanding achievements and appreciated their dedication, confidence and active participation in co-curricular activities. He encouraged them to continue participating in such platforms and bring further recognition to the institution.
Dr. Gulshan Rashid, Convener cultural and literary committee and staff of the college also congratulated the participating students and appreciated their commendable performance and spirit of participation.
