RAMNAGAR, Aug 17: Kamesh Khajuria, an NCC Cadet and Junior Under Officer (JUO) of Government Degree College Ramnagar, has brought laurels to the institution by qualifying for the Pre-Nationals through his commendable performance at the Inter-Directorate Sports Shooting Championship (IDSSC) 2026, held at Trichy, Tamil Nadu, from July 13 to August 3, 2026.
The prestigious championship witnessed the participation of around 400 NCC cadets from across the country, representing 17 different NCC Directorates, who competed in various shooting events. Representing the J&K and Ladakh Directorate, JUO Kamesh Khajuria displayed remarkable shooting skills, discipline and composure, earning qualification for the Pre-Nationals.
The achievement marks an important milestone in Kamesh’s sporting journey and reflects his dedication, discipline and hard work as an NCC cadet. The IDSSC Championship provides an important platform for NCC cadets aspiring to progress from the Directorate level to national and higher competitive levels in shooting.
Principal Prof. Daljeet Singh Manhas congratulated Kamesh Khajuria on his outstanding achievement and extended his best wishes for success at the Pre-Nationals. He appreciated Kamesh’s dedication and remarked that such accomplishments enhance the reputation of the college while inspiring other students to excel in sports and co-curricular activities.
