KISHTWAR, Aug 3: Government Degree College (GDC) Kishtwar today organised an Intra-College National Anthem Singing Competition featuring both Solo and Group Renditions to promote patriotism, national unity, and respect for the National Anthem among students.
The programme was organised under the convenership of Dr. Tabassum Saleem and under the able guidance of Prof. Lekh Raj Badyal, Principal, GDC Kishtwar. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, with 10 participants competing in the Solo category and 5 teams participating in the Group Rendition category. The performances reflected remarkable talent, discipline, and deep patriotic spirit.
After a keen evaluation, Rohan Sen emerged as the winner in the Solo category, while Suhana and Team secured the first position in the Group Rendition category.
The competition was adjudged by Prof. Esar ul Ayub, Dr. Tabassum Saleem, and Dr. S. M. Usman, who appreciated the participants for their melodious performances, confidence, and commitment to preserving the dignity and spirit of the National Anthem.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Lekh Raj Badyal, Principal, GDC Kishtwar, congratulated the winners and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of all the students. He emphasised that such programmes instil a sense of patriotism, discipline, and national pride among the youth while encouraging them to uphold the values of unity and integrity.
The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates to the winners and participants, followed by a vote of thanks.
