GDC Bani organises awareness programme on SIGMA APP registration for students

BANI, Sep 8: Government Degree College Bani (Kathua) organised an awareness programme to sensitise students about the registration and the use of the SIGMA APP, a student-centric digital platform aimed at strengthening communication, feedback and grievance redressal.

The programme was conducted by Dr. Narinder Kumar, Nodal Officer, SIGMA, under the able supervision and guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Neena Gupta, Principal of the College.

During the programme, students were apprised of the importance of registering themselves on the SIGMA App and were guided through the registration and account activation process.

The students were also made aware of the various features and benefits of the platform and its significance in facilitating effective communication and grievance redressal.

During the programme Dr. J. S. Soodan, Director Sports and Prof. Naseeb Bhagat, Assistant Professor in EVS, also addressed the students. They highlighted the importance of adopting digital platforms and encouraged students to make effective use of SIGMA for accessing student-related services, sharing feedback and communicating their concerns.

The programme was also graced by faculty Members Dr Resham Singh, Prof. Vishab Thapa, Dr Sunil Kumar, Prof Akash Zhutsi, Dr Syed Muztaba, Dr Shabir Ahmad Batt, Dr. Fayaz Dr Mulkhraj, Dr Sarita Bhushan, Dr Shamima, Dr Fayaz Ahmad, Dr Shabir Ahmad, Dr. Kirti Attri, Dr Neha Manhas, Racchpal Sharma, Himanshu Sharma.

Dr. Narinder Kumar, Nodal Officer, SIGMA, encouraged all students to complete their registration at the earliest and utilise the platform responsibly for their academic and institutional needs.

Prof. (Dr.) Neena Gupta appreciated the efforts of the Nodal Officer and faculty members for organising the awareness programme. She emphasized that digital initiatives such as SIGMA can play an important role in making student services more accessible, transparent and responsive. Her motivational words and interaction with the students added value to the awareness initiative.

She has advised the students to actively utilise the platform for their academic and institutional requirements and directed the Nodal officer to facilitate the students to get registered.

She further stressed that College remains committed to promoting digital literacy, technological awareness and student-centric initiatives for the overall welfare and development of its students.

The programme concluded with the vote of thanks presented by Dr Nisha Devi NSS, PO.

She has expressed gratitude to the Principal for her constant encouragement and support and to the resource persons for their informative deliberations, and the students for their enthusiastic participation, which contributed to the success of the event. She has also appealed to all students to register on the SIGMA APP.
