BARI BRAHMANA, May 21: Dogra Educational Trust (DET), a reputed educational trust engaged in school and higher education through its constituent institutions namely Dogra Degree College, Dogra Law College, and Dogra College of Education, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Guiding & Counselling Cell (GCC), Gurha Slathia, to strengthen cooperation in the areas of education, counselling, skill development, youth empowerment, leadership development, and community welfare.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by distinguished representatives from GCC Gurha Slathia including Col. Jaswant Singh Slathia (Retd), Lt. Col. Mehak Slathia (Retd), Dr. Akash Salaria, Virpartap Singh Slathia, and Navdeep Slathia.
Representing DET were Dr. Samardev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust; Dr. Bela Thakur, Director, Dogra Educational Trust; R.S. Katal, Member Governing Body and Academic Committee; Dr. Dharamveer Sharma, Dean, Dogra Degree College; Dr. Jay Prakash Srivastava, Principal, Dogra Law College; and Dr. Vikesh Kumar Sharma, Principal, Dogra College of Education.
The collaboration aims to create a strong community–academia partnership focused on the holistic development of students and youth, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas.
Under this MoU, both organizations will jointly organize counselling sessions, career guidance programmes, skill enhancement workshops, seminars, awareness campaigns, legal literacy initiatives, entrepreneurship development activities, sports and cultural engagements, and community outreach initiatives.
The partnership will also work towards enhancing employability and leadership qualities among students through mentorship, training programmes, experiential learning opportunities, and social engagement activities.
Speaking on the occasion, the representatives of both institutions emphasized the growing need for collaborative efforts between educational institutions and community organizations to address the educational, psychological, social, and professional needs of the younger generation.
The officials further expressed confidence that the MoU would open new avenues for student development, social awareness, community participation, and institutional outreach.
The event concluded with a reaffirmation of mutual commitment towards creating a supportive, progressive ecosystem, dedicated to education, counselling, and community development.
