Molvi Riyaz of Sarwal Masjid addressed the gathering and highlighted the history and significance of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, besides speaking about the teachings of Prophet Muhammad and their relevance to society.

Molvi Riyaz and Advocate Rezvi thanked Sunil Dimple for participating in the procession and appreciated his presence as a representative of the Hindu community.

He also appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to consider the release of what he described as innocent prisoners and to take steps to reduce the “dil ki doori” between Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi. He further urged the Union Government to reach out to the youth of Kashmir and strengthen their sense of connection with the rest of the country.

Dimple also appealed to Pakistan to stop militancy and terrorism and refrain from threatening the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He issued a warning against any further escalation, referring to the possibility of another military response by India.

On the occasion, Dimple also condemned the alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl in Kishtwar and raised concerns over what he described as community-targeted demolition drives in Sidhra and other parts of the Jammu region. He called for justice and equal treatment for all communities.

Dimple reiterated that communal harmony, peace and brotherhood should remain the collective priority of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and prayed for universal peace and harmony on the auspicious occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi.
