JAMMU, May 23: Des Raj, retired DGM NABARD and son of Kamla Ram, has assumed charge as the Managing Director (MD) of Jammu Central Cooperative Bank (JCCB) Ltd for a period of three years.
Des Raj officially took over the responsibilities of the post following the relieving of Bal Krishan, who had been serving as Interim Managing Director of JCCB Jammu.
Bal Krishan, JKAS, while serving as Additional Registrar Cooperative Societies, Jammu, had been handling the additional charge of Interim Managing Director of the bank and has now formally handed over the charge.
The appointment of Des Raj is being viewed as an important step towards strengthening the functioning and administration of the cooperative banking sector in the Jammu region.
With his extensive experience in NABARD and banking administration, expectations are high for further institutional growth and efficient financial management under his leadership.
