The programmes were conducted under the supervision of district presidents of BJP OBC Morcha and coordinated by respective mandal presidents. The drives witnessed active participation from party workers, senior BJP leaders, local residents and prominent citizens.

In Baramulla, the cleanliness campaign was carried out at Khadinyar, while in Jammu district, party workers undertook a sanitation drive at Shaheedi Chowk in City Mandal. Similar programmes were organized at the ancient Shiv Temple in Village Mara and Nagrota Chowk in Pahari Zila Basohli-Bani. In Rajouri district, cleanliness activities were held at Khawas Mandal and Masjid Sagwarat in Darhal.

Participants cleaned public spaces, roadsides, temple and mosque premises, and surrounding areas using brooms and other sanitation tools. The volunteers ensured thorough cleaning of the designated sites while also interacting with local residents to spread awareness about hygiene, sanitation and environmental responsibility.

Speaking on the occasion, BJP leaders emphasized that cleanliness is not merely a government initiative but a collective social responsibility. They highlighted that sustained sanitation efforts contribute to improved public health, environmental conservation and overall community well-being. Citizens were urged to adopt hygienic practices in their daily lives and actively support cleanliness campaigns in their localities.

The leaders said that the Swachh Bharat Mission launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transformed cleanliness into a nationwide movement, inspiring citizens to take ownership of their surroundings. They noted that grassroots-level initiatives play a crucial role in strengthening public awareness and encouraging community participation.

In his message, BJP OBC Morcha J&K President Braham Jyot Satti appreciated the efforts of district and mandal teams for successfully organizing the drives across several locations. He reiterated the Morcha’s commitment to the ideals of the Swachh Bharat Mission and said that public outreach programmes promoting sanitation, environmental protection and civic responsibility would continue in the future.

Satti stressed that maintaining cleanliness at public places, religious sites and neighbourhoods is a shared responsibility of every citizen. He called upon party workers to take such initiatives to the grassroots level and contribute towards building a clean, green and developed India.

The programmes concluded with participants taking a collective pledge to continue promoting cleanliness, environmental awareness and public participation in social welfare activities across Jammu and Kashmir.
