POONCH, Aug 18: Chairman of Shaheed DySP Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club Poonch, Mohd Tariq, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Nasir Ajaz Sofi of Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, on his selection to represent India in the U-17 World Volleyball Championship to be held in Qatar.
Tariq described the selection as a proud moment for the entire Jammu and Kashmir volleyball fraternity and said Nasir’s achievement would inspire young players across the Union Territory to pursue the sport with dedication and determination.
He lauded the young volleyball player for his hard work, discipline and talent, saying that participation at the international level is a significant achievement at such a young age.
Mohd Tariq expressed hope that Nasir would perform exceptionally well at the championship and bring laurels to Jammu and Kashmir and the country. He also appreciated the efforts of coaches, parents and sports organisations that supported the youngster in his sporting journey.
He said the achievement demonstrates the growing potential of volleyball talent in J&K and called for continued support and opportunities for young athletes.
