Beautiful morning of music, joy and intergenerational bonding at Vridh Ashram

JAMMU, Aug 22: The Home for the Aged & Infirm (Vridh Ashram), Ambphalla, Jammu, was filled with music, warmth and heartfelt emotions as Madhu Bala, NCC Officer, MIER College, B.C. Road, along with 32 NCC cadets, visited the Home and spent meaningful time with the elderly residents.

The visit turned into a beautiful celebration of togetherness and intergenerational bonding. The NCC cadets interacted warmly with the residents and presented a delightful musical programme. The young students sang melodious songs and played the guitar, creating a cheerful and lively atmosphere across the Home.

The residents reciprocated with equal enthusiasm and affection. They participated wholeheartedly by singing songs and devotional bhajans, transforming the gathering into a memorable exchange of music, memories and emotions. Their spontaneous participation brought immense happiness to everyone present.

The occasion was much more than a musical programme. It became a heartwarming reminder that kindness, companionship and human connection transcend generations. The smiles of the residents and the enthusiasm of the young cadets created an atmosphere of genuine warmth and belonging.

Dr. Dinesh Gupta, Secretary, expressed sincere appreciation to Madhu Bala, NCC Officer, and all the NCC cadets for visiting the Home and sharing their time, talent and affection with the elderly residents.

Er. Vijay Gupta, Joint Secretary, Dr. B.B. Sharma, Ex-CMO and Medical Officer, Home Dispensary, Sr. Rajinder Singh, Sat Pal Sharma and Sudha Gupta, all Committee Members, were also present on the occasion. They appreciated the thoughtful initiative undertaken by the NCC cadets.

Staff members of the Home for the Aged & Infirm, Ambphalla, Jammu, were also present and assisted in coordinating the visit and facilitating interaction between the NCC cadets and the residents.

The Home expressed its heartfelt gratitude to MIER College and NCC for the meaningful gesture. The visit not only brought music and youthful energy into the Home but also created precious moments of companionship and happiness that the residents will cherish.
