In a message shared on his social media profile, the BDO described Shafqat Sheikh as “the man behind the Devigoal event” and praised him for his social work and efforts towards community welfare.
“The man behind the Davigol Event — a true social activist and a humble soul who works quietly for the welfare of society. His dedication, compassion, and selfless efforts deserve appreciation,” the BDO wrote, while extending his wishes for Sheikh’s good health, happiness and continued strength to serve society.
The appreciation comes in recognition of the efforts made by Shafqat Sheikh in bringing together various stakeholders for the successful conduct of the event. The public appreciation by the BDO has highlighted the contribution of individuals who undertake community initiatives through voluntary efforts. Such recognition also underlines the role of grassroots-level social activists in encouraging public participation and supporting welfare-oriented programmes.
