REASI, Jul 1: Indian Army organised Career Counselling Programmes at Higher Secondary School, Gool, in Ramban and Saldhar in Reasi, with the aim of guiding students and local youth towards informed career choices, higher education and employment opportunities. The programmes were conducted as part of the Indian Army’s continued efforts to empower youth, promote education and encourage constructive engagement in the region. At Higher Secondary School, Gool, students were briefed on various career options, higher education opportunities, competitive examinations, skill development and recruitment in the Defecne Forces. Army representatives interacted with the students, addressed their queries and motivated them to set clear goals, maintain discipline and work hard for professional success.
At Saldhar, a Youth Career Counselling Session was organised for local students and youth. The participants were provided detailed information on career opportunities in the Defence Forces, Central Armed Police Forces, Government services and higher education institutions. Guidance was also given on eligibility criteria, recruitment procedures, preparation strategies, physical fitness and the importance of dedication and leadership.
Both sessions witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, parents and village representatives. The school administration and locals appreciated the initiative and expressed gratitude to the Indian Army for mentoring the youth and creating awareness about diverse career opportunities.
