RAJOURI, May 14: An interaction programme with members of the Gujjar and Bakkarwal community was conducted by the Indian Army at Solki.
The aim of the activity was to strengthen mutual trust, understand local concerns and enhance cooperation between the Army and the nomadic community residing in the area. During the interaction, community members were encouraged to share their issues related to education, healthcare, seasonal migration and basic amenities.
The Indian Army assured continued support within its mandate and emphasised the importance of maintaining peace, communal harmony and close coordination with security forces. Awareness regarding government welfare schemes, documentation requirements and educational opportunities for children was also shared with the attendees.
The programme was conducted in a friendly and cordial atmosphere, fostering goodwill and reinforcing the positive relationship between the Indian Army and the Gujjar and Bakkarwal community.
